size guide

Cowboy hats aren’t one-size-fits-all — and that’s part of what makes them special. Unlike standard baseball caps, cowboy hats use traditional sizing (like 6 7/8, 7 1/4, etc.), measured in inches around your head for a secure, comfy fit that stays put whether you’re chasing sunsets or dancing barefoot in the sand.
At Saltwater Cowgirl Co., we offer a range of sizes so your hat feels made just for you. Not sure what size you are? No worries — use a soft measuring tape around your head (just above your eyebrows and ears), or stop by one of our pop-ups to try on and find your perfect fit.

fit tips
How to Measure Your Head
You’ll need: a soft measuring tape or string + ruler
Steps:
-
Stand in front of a mirror.
-
Wrap the tape around your head about 1/4 inch above your ears and eyebrows — where your hat naturally sits.
-
Keep it snug, not tight.
-
Round up to the nearest 1/8 inch and match it to your size in our chart.
-
Between sizes? Go up — you can always use hat tape to adjust.
FAQ
"What if I’m between sizes?"
Size up — most hats can be snugged with hat sizing tape inside the sweatband.
"Will my hat stretch?"
Hats may mold slightly to your head over time, but they won’t dramatically stretch. A perfect fit feels snug but not tight.
